Development

Kremlin Project

In 2004, pursuant to the RF President’s Decree, the RF President Administration passed a resolution to restore and renovate the buildings built to architect Roman Klein’s design in 1894.

OPK Development has been selected as an investor and developer for renovation of the complex at 5 Red Square.

The renovation design has got special attention due to the unique location and exclusive historical value of the project. The preliminary design proposals have been approved by RF Main State Expert Review Board and RF Federal Service for Conservation of Cultural Heritage, the complex site master plan has been approved by the Moscow Master Plan Research and Design Institute.

To deliver the best design solutions targeted at the most demanding consumer, OPK is closely cooperating with well-known specialized consulting companies (HVS Intl., Ernst&Young).

The Main Building of the edifice facing the four surrounding streets – Ilyinka Street, Varvarka Street, Khrustalny Side-Street and the Red Square – will be left intact. The edifice will house a hotel and apartments with modern infrastructures, which will be managed by a premium-class international operator.

The complex will offer housing of the type which is radically new for the historical part of Moscow – multilevel residential space measuring from 120 to 400 square meters, featuring an unique location, excellent quality and top-notch world-class service.

The architectural concept has been elaborated by Wilmotte & Associes Architecte, a French architect bureau headed by Jean-Michel Wilmotte, a member of the world’s architectural and design elite for more than 20 years.
