There was an important event at Severnaya Verf shipyard (St. Petersburg). It delivered new communication cutter ‘Seraphim Sarovskiy’ to Russian Navy.

The naval depot consists of best employees. Most of bluejackets have a high education to operate modern equipment and difficult technical devices. As for cutter’s dimensions, the length totals 27,4 m, the width totals 6,5 m. It’s a vessel of 100 tons displacement and can move over long distance at max speed of 20 knots, Ivan Makukha, the captain of this vessel considers. It must be admitted that such a computerization, fitted equipment and comfortable conditions of life may exist.

This is the forth cutter, the first one, ‘Burevestnik’ was built in 2001, Vladimir Phederov, project manager said. The second one, called ‘Albatross’, was delivered to Caspian Sea hydrographic service. The third one was a part of Northern fleet. All these small vessels are military equipped. Severnaya Verf shipyard fulfilled the unique design.

Severnaya Verf shipyard stocks three corvettes for Russian Navy, frigate, special communication vessel ‘Yuriy Ivanov’. Taking into account the importance of the problem put by the government, the staff aims at carrying out the order quickly and in a high quality. In support of it we should say about the deliver of ‘Seraphim Sarovskiy’ to a customer.
