“Soobrazitelniy” is the second RF Navy order and one of four corvettes, built by this shipyard (the main project was the corvette “Stereguschiy”, May 2003). The third order was the corvette “Boykiy”, July 2005, the fourth one is “Stoykiy”, November, 2006.

The project was designed by Central Maritime Design Bureau “Almaz” (St. Petersburg). This vessel is weaponized. The displacement of the ship is 2 thou tons, the length is 100 m, the width is 13 m, the crew totals 100 persons.  The corvette is able to arm with universal artillery complexes (produced by St. Petersburg engineering plant “Arsenal”), antiaircraft artillery complex “Kashtan”,  supersonic missiles and automatic artillery equipment AK-630. The construction of the vessels anticipates using Stealthy technology.
