To launch the corvette, constructed by Severnaya Verf shipyard, a part of United Industrial Corporation (OPK), is going to start on the 31st of March, 2010.

“Soobrazitelniy” applies to series of corvettes 20380. it is the second corvette, built at this yard (the first one was “Stereguschiy”) for Russian Navy.

The ship was slipped in May, 2003. The third order was the corvette “Boykiy”, slipped in July, 2005, the fourth was “Stoykiy”, slipped in November, 2006.

The project of this corvette was designed by Almaz, central design bureau (St.Petersburg). the ship intends for functioning in the nearest sea area and fighting with surfaces ships and submarines and also for military operations.

The displacement of the ship totals 2 thou tons, the length is 100 m, the width is 13 m, the range at service speed is 4 thou miles, the complement is 100 persons. This corvette can be equipped with 100 mm universal artillery  complexes, produced by “Arsenal”, engineering factory (St.Petersburg), anti-aircraft artillery complex “Kashtan”, supersonic missiles to strike low-flying targets at the distance of 10 km and also two automatic artillery settings AK-630. For the construction of such vessels the shipyard uses stealth technology.
